Help if you are homeless
Finding yourself with nowhere to live or the risk of being made homeless is both frightening and stressful. Ashfield District Council wants to help you by preventing homelessness from occurring wherever possible so that you can avoid the worry of this difficult situation.
We advise you to make contact with the Housing Options Team as early as possible so that we can help you. To do this you will need to register on Homefinder and once you have registered with Homefinder complete the Homeless Triage Form which appears at the bottom of your Homefinder Account Homepage.
Once the form has been completed you will be contacted by an Early Intervention Officer who will review your triage form and provide assisstance.
While Ashfield District Council tries to help everybody who approaches with homelessness there aren't enough resources available to provide temporary or emergency accommodation to all people that approach and so we will have to assess whether you are a priority need for this accommodation.
