Adrian Sheldon View - Local Lettings Plan

The following LLP criteria will apply to the x8 two bedroom and x8 three bedroom homes on first let only.  

  • 50% of new homes will be let to applicants where at least one member of the household is in employment (min 16 hours and long-term contract).
  • Two-bedroom houses –a maximum of 50% of vacancies will be let to families with 2 children.
  • Three-bedroom houses –a maximum of 50% of vacancies will be let to families with 3 dependent children. Due to the size of the homes, families with more than 3 dependent children will not be considered as eligible.  
  • An applicant will not normally be considered if they or any other person included on their application
  • has relevant unspent criminal convictions or
  • has had enforcement action taken against them in respect of anti-social behaviour within the last 3 years or
  • is unable to provide satisfactory references for accommodation they have resided in during the last 5 years.

Over the course of the next few months Metropolitan Housing will be advertising and letting 83 homes at Watnall Road, on the site of the old Hucknall Town FC. 

The properties are a mixture of 2,3 &4 bedroom houses, each ranging in size and maximum occupancy as set out below:

12 x 2-bedroom, 4 person houses

47 x 3-bedroom, 4 person houses

5 x 3 bedroom, 5 person houses

19 x 4-bedroom, 6 person houses

Metropolitan will include specific advertising criteria alongside each property, known as a Local Lettings Policy. It is to ensure there is a good balance and mix of households being accommodated.

HOMEFINDER LETTINGS POLICY REVIEW

Have your say on the Homefinder Lettings Policy.

Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils and the Homefinder parnter landlords are reviewing the Lettings Policy and we are keen to get your views. 

The Policy sets out who is able to join the Housing Register (waiting list) and how empty council and housing association properties are let. It is important the Policy reflects local needs and that applicants and residents have input into it.
